Sitges is a beautiful coastal seaside town outside of Barcelona that some tend to overlook. It is often reduced to a day trip, but this quaint and charming town has a great deal to offer and is brimming with ambience. Destino Sitges is a humble building located in a residential part of town, conveniently behind the train station.
The boutique rooms result from sheer hard work from the French owners, Laetitia Hochard and Laurent Vernet Vitali, who both relocated from Marseille to embark on a new journey in Spain. From the front door, which has been carved to imitate the local doors in the town that are embellished with works from carpenters, to the added details in the rooms – you certainly don’t go without. Cushions have been sourced from Africa, balconies and terraces are leafy, terrace chairs add a pop of colour and pockets of influences from Ibiza are subtle throughout. In short, Destino Sitges is a beautiful surprise in an unassuming area.
