In 1929, King Alfonso XIII inaugurated the Maritime Sanatorium of San Juan de Dios, a sanctuary built to treat patients with respiratory conditions. During our stay, we particularly enjoyed strolling along the beach promenade and exploring the nearby fishermen’s houses. Imbibing the local atmosphere, we relished the opportunity to sip a refreshing vermouth among the friendly locals, immersing ourselves in the authentic Catalan culture.
