HOTEL SANT FRANCESC
Hotel Sant Francesc is an upscale boutique hotel that offers lavish living, stunning details and excellent service. This quiet nook is situated parallel from the historic centre of Palma de Mallorca, precisely located inside a restored and renovated 19th-century mansion on the magnificent Sant Francesc Square. During its refurbishment, great care has been taken to give prominence to the building, combining it with a responsible contemporary design. This includes pieces by acclaimed local and international designers such as Jaime Hayón, Philippe Starck, Antonio Citterio, Inma Bermúdez, Davide Groppi and Bernard Schottlander. The intimate five-star property has 42 elegant rooms and suites, many with wooden beamed ceilings, covered verandas, original frescos and mouldings. Antique items paired with contemporary pieces exude sophistication and character.
The project was envisioned by the Soldevila Ferrer family, who inherit a 90-year history and passion for hospitality in their DNA, being part of the owning and founding family of the Hotel Majestic in Barcelona (1918). Looking to create a new chapter in the form of small luxury, they embarked on renovating and restoring the building with architect Tolo Cursach. Family member Nuria Ferrer Klein, whose eye as a former interior designer, added her distinct mark to the hotel with curated items and artworks.
OUR STORY
The lobby bar and 'patio Mallorquin' are pleasant meeting points for visitors and locals alike. The bar offers an extensive list of cocktails including classics as well as modern combinations specially created. You can also enjoy an aperitif on the Singular Rooftop terrace, which is open all year round. From up high, guests can bask in the spectacular views from the 200m2 terrace. A 30m2 pool, sun deck and snack bar make the rooftop the place to be. A Sushi Bar conveniently serves fresh handmade rolls from May to October. As the sun slowly sets, a day to evening transformation takes place – converting the rooftop terrace into the perfect place for a cocktail or chilled glass of champagne and watching the sunset over Palma’s historic old town.
The Quadrat Restaurant & Garden is located in the former stables of the manor house and is overseen by Chef Alfonso Lillo, who is also known as ‘Chef Fonsi’. The cuisine is inspired by the best of the Mediterranean and incorporates a modern twist. There is also the Chef's tasting menu that is highly recommended and features traditional paella influenced dishes. Guests can dine inside or alfresco, where they can enjoy the weather and ambience in the discreet and picturesque garden.
The Singular Wellbeing Centre features a treatment menu and services that are encouraged to refresh, invigorate and restore. Here guests will find luxurious products from Anne Semonin. Not to be missed is the ‘Mediterranean Sensation’ massage ritual, formulated to help de-stress and restore. In the former well of the building, is where the 24-hour gym is located. The latest technology is equipped and those requiring services such as personal trainers or yoga instructors can make a request at the hotel.
