Almanac Barcelona is the pioneer property in the Almanac Group, that is determined to deliver some of the best luxury accommodations in Europe's iconic cities from Vienna to Budapest. Be prepared to embark on a personalised journey evoking "Scent, Taste, Light and Touch". The discreet and visionary hotel showcases bespoke details in a breathtaking building a stone's throw away from some of the most sought after attractions and places to visit in Barcelona city.

Barcelona firm, OAB Office of Architecture are the gurus behind the architectural redevelopment of the two buildings from different eras, seamlessly converted into the prime hotel Almanac Barcelona. The attention to details from adding a wellness area in a discreet setting of the hotel to the modular structure of the private meeting rooms, shows the dedication to client satisfaction.

In total there are 61 rooms and 30 suites that cater to both business and leisure travellers. Strategically located steps away from Passeig de Gràcia and the newly elegant side of Eixample, it is ideal for locals and visitors. The elegantly decorated rooms all have elements of surprises, with lavishly delegated adornments from none other than designer Jaime Beriestain. His use of textures and materials throughout the property creates a sophisticated and homely feel.

OUR STORY

Almanac Barcelona epitomises sheer understated luxury and hospitality; perfect for family holidays, spa breaks or an evening of fine dining. Guests can expect a high standard of hospitality that include robot concierge services, superb dining at Línia restaurant and Azimuth - the hotel's panoramic rooftop bar overlooking Barcelona's pretty skyline. Aptly named, as azimuth is an astrological term that refers to the arc of the horizon measured between a fixed point (such as true north) and the vertical circle passing through the centre of an object.

We stayed at the Gran Via Signature Suite, an elegant option boasting lots of light and perfectly fitted with an abundance of amenities. The spaces correlate with the exterior private terrace that overlooks the street with the same name as the suite. The 85 square metre 'apartment' has a fine balance of well-being that oozes both elegance and comfortable living. The inviting bathtub with rainfall shower has the view of the terrace, with the small black out screen available should you need more privacy.

Through Almanac's custom designed Connect & Collect’ app, the system is enabled to create the guest's personal insignia, factoring in elements of travel experiences upon preference. Themed lighting schemes, wake-up calls, restaurant reservation and in-room cleaning services are all available at the tip of a finger via the in-room app. The hotel cleverly pairs high-touch with high tech. Digital aspects of the services offered don't counter or replace the impeccable hospitality from the staff, instead it 100% complements it.
