The establishment itself is unassuming and discreet on a road speckled with bike stores, coffee shops and vintage stores. Upon entering, we were greeted by the minimalist neutral style that runs throughout, which leads to the popular inner courtyard with the splash pool and plants. This zone is where guests can tuck into healthy breakfast options before setting out for the day. Check-in was swift, the team even had our room ready despite our early arrival, which was much appreciated (particularly when travelling with children). Our bags were promptly taken to our suite where the staff gave us a quick run-through of; the important notes about the apartment, our whereabouts and what to do in Valencia as a family.
Our penthouse apartment included a private terrace and a fully equipped kitchen, an ideal selection for the five nights at YOURS Boutique Hotel. Spacious room with natural sunlight all day and enough space to host visitors. The bathroom has a rain shower, all the amenities needed, and a cleaning service topping up daily. One of the reasons we chose the penthouse is because of the light it gets throughout the day and the mezzanine concept, meaning our bedroom was on the upper floor. We can’t praise the staff enough; they are always willing to help you whenever needed and know the city well enough to make your visit to Valencia more pleasant.
Being from Holland, owners Daphne Kniest and Wouter Kock love that Valencia is a city where you can get around easily by bike and reach the historic centre, sea, or parks. After six months in Asia and Australia, the owners moved permanently to Valencia in 2013. A mini YOURS boutique shop is available in the hotel foyer, so if you fall in love with some of the items during your stay, some are available to purchase and bring home.
