Vejer de la Frontera has been generous to travellers for decades, as the prettiest white villages cherished in the sun-drenched region of Andalusia house some unique boutique properties. Highly praised for its authenticity and serene qualities, Hotel V is a reference in the world of boutique hospitality, as it peacefully houses 12 intimate rooms in a private hideaway and offers a qualitative selection of services and amenities. This boutique gem has a spacious rooftop that overlooks the Roman and Moorish heritage of the historic centre and, on most days, has eye-catching sights of the Atlas Mountains of neighbouring Morocco. Traditional culture with modern amenities can be enjoyed here, with emblematic historic sights on your doorstep.
Hotel V opened its doors on February 22, 2008. Owner Jean Van Gysel is responsible for restoring and designing the 17th-century Spanish palacio. He is now the originator of a brand new deluxe boutique hotel brand for the Middle East and has his hands on more properties. Van Gysel’s grandfather bought the hotel Le Plaza Brussels many years ago, and in 1996, he and his father decided to renovate the building to turn it into a 5-star property.
Van Gysel’s first foray into boutique hospitality began when he began to renovate Hotel V which was potentially a hotel space. His secret has always been to promote the hotel as a house with 12 bedrooms that happens to offer the service of a five-star hotel. You have the option to rent a room or lease the whole house for events, weddings, or hosting a collective.
