DEAR HOTEL MADRID

The scenic beauty of Madrid has been witnessed thanks to Dear Hotel, atop the premises’ dazzling rooftop swimming pool. 360º panoramic sights and sounds will bewilder you on what is one of the best miradors of the city, where you can view the splendid architecture of the megalopolis. The Sky Lounge and ‘Nice To Meet You’ restaurant are the crème de la crème, and their services, amenities, and facilities are exemplary of a four-star hotel. This new design boutique hotel boasts convenience, with Malasaña’s neighbourhood hip experience and Chueca’s counterculture scene within walking distance.

A list of projects has turned the famous Plaza España into one of the tourist epicentres in the capital. Seca Hotels opened the four-star Dear Hotel in early 2015, occupying the Intercontinental building. One of the sons of the Sebrango family, owners of the Hotel Chiqui in Santander, runs the hotel’s daily operations. A calculated 70 to 80 people work on the hotel’s premises.

The hotel’s promoter, Seca Hotels, relied on interior designer Sandra Tarruella to decorate the establishment’s 162 rooms. The best rooms are situated on the top floors, with adjoining balconies and incredible views of the city.

OUR STORY

OUR STORY

Nice To Meet You Restaurant & Lounge does a good job of boosting the holiday spirit, we stayed for Christmas and enjoyed their specially prepared menus, as they do for Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving and other festive dates.

The spacious rooms face Gran Vía or Plaza de España, two symbolic sites. Depending on your preference, there are options for Deluxe, Premium, and Suites. All rooms are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, a 40” Smart TV, big beds with 300-thread Egyptian cotton sheets, bathrobes, slippers, and audio docking systems for smartphones. For families or friends, there is an option to order two rooms with a common entrance.

The rooms are very bright and have excellent acoustic isolation. Interior designer Sandra Tarruella (AD magazine’s best interior design 2015) did a superb job of combining design furniture with decor. There is a catalogue in the room that has a list of the furniture and items that can be bought, such as the Pleat Box and oh-so-pretty Funiculí lamps in the rooms.

Being located on Gran Vía 80, Dear Hotel is opposite Plaza de España. It is a 10-minute walk from Palacio Real and 15 minutes from Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. Getting a taxi to the Atocha train station takes less than 15 minutes, and with the metro station on the doorstep, you are 12 minutes to the Santiago Bernabéu’s (Real Madrid) stadium. The convenience and practicality make it the best option for leisure and business.
