Minos Beach Art Hotel is a 5-star resort that feels like a boutique hotel, as the bungalows are quite spread out, and everyone has their own private outdoor space. This gem in Crete meets all the standards of a qualitative stay, from the awarded restaurants and lavish accommodation options to the family-friendly services that will have any guest wanting to stay the whole holiday. Little Venice aromatic green gardens, minimalist ambience, and outdoor gallery make this one of the top hotels in Greece. The Minos Beach Art Symposium displays the works of contemporary Greek and international artists. Expect to find artwork serenading the paths as you walk the numerous lanes that take you to the dazzling blemishes of paradise.
We especially love the two beaches. On most mornings, they almost felt like ours for the taking. If you ever get bored of the sea, the freshwater heated pool is your salvation. The immense section of the pool has a bar where you can enjoy drinks of your choice under the Cretan sun.
For lunch, there is the waterfront Cretan Tavern and the Terpsis restaurant. The first plate is a typical Cretan buffet of your choice with a main, which has meat or fish choices. Once a week for dinner, you can expect a Greek folk music performance with dozens of extremely cardiovascular, jumpy dances. The selections at these dinner events tend to be a more rustic Cretan food choice, with Greek-style lamb on a spit. There’s also the Bacchus & Ambrosia; Bacchus is where you begin your sumptuous breakfast with a lavish buffet selection of salads, cheese, pastries, and a rich choice of appetisers. Ambrosia is a restaurant available for superior rooms and villas only. A fourth option for eating around the premises is the La Bouillabaisse restaurant, a Mediterranean gourmet cuisine overlooking the sea, open from mid-May until the beginning of October if the weather is still mild.
