Opened in April 2012, Andersen Hotel provides stylish rooms with décor by award-winning company Designers Guild. General manager Karen Nedergaard is the 3rd generation to run the hotel business as she also operates the Absalon Hotel on the other side of Helgolandsgade, in which her grandmother along with her husband founded it 75 years ago. as  They had a different member of staff on the desk everytime we approached and all were very lovely! We got to know Stella – head of the kitchen staff. She was lovely! An Irish lady who moved to Copenhagen about 30 years ago!

OUR STORY

OUR STORY

The outside mini courtyard was very comfortable to sit in and drink during the chilling hours of the day. For breakfast,, they serve a buffet with cold and hot options from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. The staff members are very helpful and act as guides when recommending the nearest places to visit and eat. They have treats on every floor for walking the stairs! This is a really lovely touch, and it’s a great way to encourage people to take the stairs.

You will enjoy the comfortable design room with the soundproofed windows, and rest assured you will have your London designer’s Molton Brown luxury toiletries. The hip lobby lounge offers Italian liqueurs, speciality coffee, and select teas from the famous Østerlandsk Thehus tea shop. Guests can also relax on the terrace or rent a bicycle and explore the city. Also, there is a complimentary ‘Wine Hour’ daily in the lobby lounge.
