GRAND HOTEL BELLEVUE LONDON

Located in Paddington, Grand Hotel Bellevue stands as a beacon for those who value quick connections across London and enjoy the vibrancy of a neighbourhood rich with culture. Set in a Victorian townhouse with interiors by acclaimed French architect Fabrizio Casiraghi, this boutique gem combines British charm with an understated French flair, making it a chic stay for solo travellers, couples and families. For those visiting with children, take a look at our guide to the best family-friendly activities in London to make the most of your stay.

The Grand Hotel Bellevue was designed with the narrative of an English aristocrat and his globetrotting wife residing at the London townhouse. This story is consistent; from the bright reception to the hallways, even the gym is exotic and easy on the eye. Whether you’re here for a weekend escape or an extended stay, this hotel offers a stylish, comfortable experience in a setting that feels as much like an elegant London home as it does a luxury retreat.

OUR STORY

OUR STORY

From the moment we stepped into Grand Hotel Bellevue, it felt like we stepped into a well-astute friend’s residence. It isn’t pretentious; it’s warm and inviting, thanks to the burnt orange tones and decorative items. The design blends classic British charm with a playful, artistic flair, which spoke to us immediately. Walking through its spaces felt like discovering the layers of someone’s style, with rich wood accents, bold colours, and a balance of refined and quirky touches.

As we explored, we were struck by the cohesive mismatch—a nod to London’s layered personality. Persian rugs, French artwork, Indian influences in the Pondicherry Bar, and dark classic furniture give each room a distinct feel. There are 60 sophisticated rooms available at the Victorian property. Some rooms are cosy and designed as cute boat cabins with elaborate details and cream cornices, while larger pads boast slightly more space, making it easier to accommodate more than one. Suites like the Grand Norfolk suite showcase high ceilings, a large French window, skirted sofa, and elegant decorative items. It is one of few rooms complemented with a beautiful freestanding. Other bathrooms still have soft, pink tiles and vintage-style Burlington showers that make an ordinary routine feel special. Each detail reflects a curated and lived-in space, a proper London abode.

One of our favourite moments was breakfast in the cosy lower-level dining room. The olive-green walls, arched doorways, and low lighting gave the space an intimate, café-like atmosphere that made us feel at home. It’s a setting where you’ll want to linger over coffee, soaking in the relaxed, sultry vibe that’s rare to find in the heart of a bustling city. We also loved the shell lampshades, which gave the room a nice twist.
