Drawing on a decidedly feminine design, the hotel interior comprises silky neutrals in beige, black, and white, with sky blue, pale rose, and gold soothing accents. Glaringly luxurious black-marble bathrooms in the hotel suites are bathed in natural light and equipped with bespoke toiletries, plush bathrooms and slippers. The thirty rooms and seven suites are designed for comfort; many pillows adorn the armchairs and sofas, and the beds are as soft as clouds.

Suites on the hotel’s top floor provide varying views of the sweeping Paris skyline. Depending on which direction you face, you might see the top of the Eiffel Tower rising above the rooftops or else the large Ferris wheel at Concorde and the Sacre-Coeur Basilica perched atop Montmartre in the hazy distance.

The intimate spa on the hotel’s lowest floor boasts a small but beautiful pool with waterfalls, alongside which luxurious little sofas are perfect for lounging and sampling infused water, dry fruits, and nuts. The spa offers a simple menu of facials and body treatments using Carita products, including massages like a relaxing and soothing Californian massage or a probing and deep-muscle Swiss massage. A hammam and sauna provide a perfect moment of relaxation after long days of strolling the French capital.

Chef Zachary Caviller presides over the hotel’s gastronomic restaurant, Cléo. A Montreal native, Caviller cultivated his talents at The Sparrow and The Lawrence before taking up at Frenchie To Go in Paris and pioneering their much-loved pastrami sandwich. His cuisine features organic products scrupulously sourced from local suppliers and emphasises seasonality and freshness. Homemade cured meats are his personal touch.

The hotel staff is friendly and gracious. They warmly offer anecdotes about the hotel’s history and design and insist on pouring grapefruit juice at the breakfast table to alleviate the burden of lifting an especially heavy juice pitcher.
