Chef Giorgia Goggi at Masseria Moroseta Releases Cookbook

@ Letizia Cigliutti

Chef Giorgia Eugenia Goggi at Masseria Moroseta lives the life of a committed hedonist in the kitchen. With a passion for cooking that dates back to her childhood years when she would prowl her mother's library of classic cookbooks and cooking magazines, Giorgia would also spend countless hours with her grandmother's in the kitchen. It's, therefore, no surprise that she dedicated herself to a career in gastronomy. In 2017, Giorgia started running the kitchen at the uber-chic and slow Masseria Moroseta in Puglia. This genuine love and dedication to food have left a firm mark on the gastronomy scene in the region, resulting in catering services, pretty tableside eats for guests upon request and more.

In essence, Something Sweet is a simple cookbook featuring 10 dessert recipes, 43 photos across 92 pages with images beautifully shot by Giorgia. The original idea came to fruition during the BLM movement in 2020. It started as an ebook, with the proceeds going to three different non-profit organizations fighting systematic racism. Something Sweet combines quintessential pastry techniques, Moroseta's all-time favourite recipes and Giorgia's approach to desserts. Expect to learn how to bake biscotti al burro to fennel seed and pear galette. There will be something sweet for the ambitious inner baker that you're prepared to unleash.
