Masseria Dagilupi is the new love child in Ostuni, born from French food and architect enthusiasts Danielle and Jean Louis. Understated beauty within a minimalist structure is what truly identifies the Apulian casa that evokes all things slow and pure. The retreat was a former olive mill and, to this day, has approximately 400 olive trees on the property. Both owners have seamlessly fused components of the Masseria so that it blends with its rural countryside.
Selective design pieces aptly adorn the rooms, which all have whitewashed walls and rugged vaulted ceilings - referencing its previous stature. With just three rooms, it epitomises a boutique stay, with sunseekers and those in need of tranquillity in mind. Welcome products by organic certified brand Grown Alchemist® and classic bed linen "pelle d’uovo" by Society Limonata Society® are just some of what guests can indulge in. The Terrace Suite is 70m2, with a private terrace of 25m2, with views of Ostuni by day and sunset at night. The bathroom alone is 20m2. And is equipped with a double shower, bathtub and double washbasin. A cosy fireplace is nestled in the suite's seating area, perfect for curling up with a book on breezy evenings.
An olive tree cuddles the terrace of the Garden Suite Ulivo and provides shade to those staying on sun-kissed afternoons. This suite, in particular, was a space that previously connected directly to the mill through a hatch to transport freshly pressed olive oil. The stables have been renovated into a bathroom with a large open shower and dressing room. Massages and shiatsu treatments can be carried out in the suites or among the olive trees outside. Personalised yoga, Hatha yoga, Yin yoga and Yoga Nidra sessions are also available via Stefania Mastruzzo, who is also a nutritional professional and holistic therapist. Again, guests can opt for an in-room session or pick a corner in the quiet Masseria.
