It is easy to encourage people to visit southern Italy; places such as Puglia are a breath of fresh air. The heartwarming traditions, charisma from the locals and jaw-dropping scenes make a beautiful place to create memories. Lamia del Riccio is a new property within the region, an authentic villa carefully reformed to exude charm and host guests during the holidays. Husband and wife duo Giovanna and Francesco set up the project. The opposites, one from the North of Italy and the other from the South, embarked on the journey to create La Lamia, reflecting their passion for places, people and fine dining.
The luxury Apulian house can accommodate up to eight people among the three suites available. Each room has the capacity for two people; additional two people can be accommodated with sofa beds. Comfort and design are at the forefront while in keeping with the original structure. Rooms vary in style, yet all transmit countryside living with exposed brick walls, use of baskets and vaulted ceilings. Suite degli Ulivi (Suite of the Olive Trees) is an elegant suite that showcases heritage. It has a queen-sized bed, and the bathroom is in an open alcove. The creative mixed art wall and vintage furniture stand out in room Bouganville, a suite bathed in grey and taupe tones. The hint of green from the ceramics is eye-catching in Room Gelsomino (Jasmine Room), which has a wardrobe and views of the outside.
The kitchen has a large table that seats up to eight people. It's a great place to start the day with family and friends, with local produce and bites you can purchase in the small villages nearby. Aside from the indoor space, there is the open green land surrounding the holiday home, which also has a swimming pool. On balmy days guests can relax by the pool, take a dip, read a book somewhere in a shady corner and relax. An outdoor terrace allows those staying to enjoy outdoor living while away and dine alfresco among the plants and beautiful terrain. The outdoor patio has a BBQ, ice machine, induction hob and other amenities for guests to enjoy Lamia del Ricio as a home-from-home.
