LA COMUNA

Cozy apartment living area with exposed stone walls and arch, including a modern kitchenette with appliances, dining table with chairs, and a comfortable sofa with decorative pillows.

In 2017, co-founders Lior Marcovici and Ron Baron, inspired by Girona's cycling culture, acquired and transformed a property into La Comuna by Bon Dia Residences, a haven for cycling enthusiasts. As we stepped into La Comuna, we were immediately captivated by its ability to retain the soul of its historical roots while offering a contemporary living experience.

Each corner of the hotel whispered stories of yesteryears, yet every modern amenity we needed was at our fingertips. This delightful paradox made our stay both unique and memorable. The location is also fantastic, as the apartments are located in Barri Vell, a stone's throw away from the captivating Girona Cathedral, Roman walls and the Arab baths.

OUR STORY

Delving deeper into the essence of La Comuna in Girona, it's clear this is not just a residence but a lifestyle experience. The café at La Comuna, open daily, is a vibrant hub where guests and locals gather, creating a convivial atmosphere. The café's operating hours, starting early in the morning, cater to the early risers and those eager to kick-start their day with a burst of local energy. There's also the opportunity to participate in yoga sessions, with a studio located beneath the cafe.

Adding to the charm, La Comuna is wonderfully accommodating for families, providing amenities like a child's high chair and toys, including wooden blocks for building castellers, reflecting the local culture. The ease of check-in and self-service via the app enhances the experience, offering modern convenience and efficiency. Furthermore, the proactive and friendly cleaning staff, always ready to assist, ensure a comfortable and worry-free stay.

This blend of a welcoming café culture, wellness options, and a distinct coffee experience, along with their well-appointed residences, sets La Comuna apart as a destination that goes beyond just a place to stay - it's a place to live, relax, and immerse in the local way of life.
