OUR STORY

Mornings at Minois Village begin with a healthy full spread unlike any other. Breakfast is quite an affair with a selection of Greek cheeses, cold cuts, salad, seasonal fruit, scrambled eggs, sausages and bread. It really is "breakfast for a king" and the service was always prompt and friendly. You can either start the day by the pool, inside in the bright and airy dining area or outside with the sea view.

We were fortunate enough to stay at one of the newly renovated deluxe suites on the ground floor, which also happened to have a pool view. Low lit white pendant lights, chic white and ice blue colour scheme, set with plenty of storage and elegant touches such as the glass sectioned floor - helped us disconnect immediately. The hotel also has a "siesta" policy, informing those poolside to be mindful of others and minimise noise between 14:00 and 16:00.

The idyllic retreat has a pool bar, so you can relax and enjoy a cocktail and choose a selection of local and casual bites for lunch. This is perfect for families with options such as salads, burger and chips among other worthy poolside eats. In the evening, head over to the minimalist Avli restaurant, which is unassuming and nestled on the sloping path and boasts views of the sea. We thoroughly recommend the veal stewed in red wine and the traditional zucchini croquettes, both are mind-blowing. The service is great and you can expect a good wine list. Paros boasts the largest fishing fleet in the Cyclades, so if you are a big fish eater do tuck into squid, cuttlefish, lobster, picarel, octopus, white sea bream and more.

If you really want to disconnect, there is the "Thalassa" spa facility where you can indulge in an array of beauty treatments, massages, and foot baths. They also have a hammam that you can use when you book a treatment. We took advantage and had a lavender and Parian salt body scrub, along with a back massage that was perfect for our romantic stay. If you like skin care treatments, they offer ones that are based on caviar, chocolate and gold.
