London - walking in a Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland is a Christmas-themed fair in the depths of London's Hyde Park. There is plenty of substance and enough to do for families, couples or just friends. We consider this event to be on anyone's TO-DO list as of December, because rarely do you get a celebration of this magnitude focusing only on festivity.

Winter Wonderland offers a great selection of food and beverages - popular among the crowd are the mulled wine or Bavarian beer. At the Star Tavern & Village Square you can enjoy a favorable hog roast or the traditional English fish and chips. Do visit the Star Tavern for its live musical event at night time. Going in circles is the Carousel Bar, a traditional carousel slowly spinning 360 degrees while you have a festive drink while dancing to the DJs party tunes. Winter Wonderland has something for everyone to enjoy.

The UK´s largest and most magical ice rink is situated at the Winter Wonderland too. Enter the gateway to the amusement park section of the fairground and be prepared to be in awe as there are some daring rides to get on such as the Power Tower, Favourites Air or the Winter Wonderland Express. We are cautioning you, they are strictly for the thrill-seekers.

Take some time out from the excitement of the attractions for a leisurely stroll around the picturesque Christmas markets. Unique gifts and Christmas decorations can be bought at both of the main markets. You will find all that you need for the festive season.

Winter Wonderland operates from the 23rd of November to the 5th of January. Opening hours are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. We will be sure to frequent this lovely event to get that holiday-kick out of Christmas!

The sweet-toothed will be happy to know there are over 30 candy stands.
